Art has served higher education in several capacities for over 25 years. He currently works at Liaison International as AVP for Enrollment Management Solutions, partnering with institutions on the entire enrollment lifecycle. Previously, he served on the faculty of the USC Race and Equity Center, Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and held leadership positions at Illinois State University, DePaul University, the School of the Art Institute, and Loyola University Chicago. Art has been an active DEI educator and academic. He served for five years as Associate Editor for the Journal of Student Affairs Research and Practice, ran his own consulting company dedicated to DEI work for 18 years, and has published books, articles, and is a well-practiced presenter. One of Art’s books is entitled, Color by Number, Understanding Racism through Facts and Stats on Children. He earned a Ph.D. in higher education and M.Ed. in Community Counseling from Loyola University Chicago, a M.A. in Multicultural Communication from DePaul University, and a B.A. in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. In addition, Art has completed an online certificate program on Artificial Intelligence.
