Tracy Demchuk is a Senior Director for Graduate Program Advising and Admissions at The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin)/ School of Nursing. With over 23 years of higher education experience, she has worked for public, private for profit, and private not for profit universities in Canada and the US. Tracy’s expertise and passion is grounded in student success, particularly student persistence. Tracy holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from UT Austin and has published papers and has been a speaker at multiple conferences on persistence. Tracy has increased graduate enrollment in all universities employed. In addition, she has been recognized for outstanding student services at UT Austin receiving the School of Nursing outstanding staff award 2013, the President’s Outstanding Staff award 2015 and 2025, Outstanding Graduate Coordinator 2024, and The Texas Exes James W. Vick Award for Outstanding Academic Advising 2025. Tracy is passionate about student success particularly focusing on the individual. Before higher education, Tracy was a secondary teacher & coach and was a manager trainer for Foot Locker, winning more than 50 awards for job excellence. When not working, she enjoys high intensity workouts, gardening, and spending time with her husband and close friends.
