Director of Student Services (retired)
University of Washington Information School
Seattle, Washington, United States
Meet Wendie Phillips, recently retired Director of Student Services at the University of Washington Information School. Armed with a quirky sense of humor and a knack for keeping things in line, Wendie juggled the antics of sixteen staff members and nine student workers with the finesse of a circus performer. Decked with a master’s degree in student development (Azusa Pacific) and a certificate in Business Management (University of Washington), she has a flair for turning chaos into controlled chaos.
Her supervisory career was inspired by years of practice in the role of oldest child, managing the shenanigans of her siblings and cousins, making her uniquely qualified to handle any curveball management throws her way. She has developed her supervisory skills through her roles as a Residence Hall Director,Career Counselor, Academic Adviser, and GEMS.
In reiterment she's learning to relax, let go of a "to do" list, develop her interest in photography, and continue to explore her Disney obsession.
